Research

Deep Learning to Predict Optimal Constellation

Australian National University, Canberra

Worked in the school of engineering and computer science under the guidance of Prof. Sean Zhou.
Used Machine learning approach to find the optimal constellation for a new splitting receiver architecture.
Conducted simulations to determine the correlation between the different component noise factors and the constellations. Plotted Signal to Noise Ratio(SNR) v/s Symbol Error Rate(SER) for different splitting ratios to conclude that deep learning is reliable to determine message-to-symbol mappings.

July 2019 - September 2019

Using Probability to Improve Wireless Networks

Nagaoka University of Technology

Worked on improving fairness in wireless ad-hoc networks using a probabilistic approach.
Studied and analyzed various scheduling protocols like PCRQ, devised a method and verified its efficiency through simulations in NS2.

December 2018 - January 2019

Control Method for Wireless Power Transfer

University of Tokyo

Simulated, executed and verified control algorithm for Wireless Power Transfer to Electrical Vehicles.
Showcased fast-learning by critically studying architectures to choose the apt module and delivered project on time.

Skills

Programming Languages & Tools
Languages
  • Japanese (highest non-native level), English (native level), native Malayalam and Hindi

Entrepreneurship
  • Student Entrepreneur at Canberra Innovation Network Australia (August - September 2019)
Participated in intensive workshops that teach to conceive, develop and validate an innovative business idea. Learned from key players in the startup community through expert seminars. Was mentored by local entrepreneurs and businesspeople.

Case Study
  • One of 10 finalists selected among 150 students to present at PwC Canberra office for the case competition in collaboration with ANU Consulting Soceity (July, 2019).
Final presentation got special mention for in-depth financial analysis and energetic communication.

Leadership
  • Led a team of 5 in the Global Project-Based Learning program (GPBL) held in Shibaura Institute of Technology, Japan (December, 2017).
We won the gold award for best project. The team was inter-disciplinary and included members from Singapore, Vietnam, and Japan. Since the elderly population in Japan is on the rise, the posed problem was to devise a way to improve the well-being of elderly using smart house. We developed a solution of meal planning using the smart fridge and came up with an implementation and evaluation plan for it.

Interests

Apart from learning about how to fix problems using technology, I enjoy cooking and working out. On a holiday, I love to go out and soak up some sun.

Representing Nomura Running Club team in Tokyo Olympic Stadium Relay Marathon, I ran 25K in June 2022

My cross-cultural experiences have inspired me to learn more about how cultures affect business behaviors. I am also learning Japanese and an avid explorer of various How-tos in Japan. I also love writing and my creative let-out is this blog.
